I always had this weird want for a manual one of these, I know it would have to be swapped. Like if I was a rich dude with a car collection, I’d have one of these and if I ever felt like being a baller on the way to a business meeting i’d pull up in one of these with my team.

This is my jam. There’s a Caprice Classic SS and an Impala SS due to come up for sale soon in the UK, and Schaeftt and I were considering either one of them. From the looks of them, neither has moved for a good while (just like Schaeftt’s Aurora bought from the same guy, 7 years stood still), but I think they look great and they’re super rare over here. He also has a RAM 250 5.9 diesel which peaked my interest.

I use to own one of these. I’m a really really big fan of the old LT-1. They are good for +200k easily. In fact I sold it to a neighbor with over 200k on it 3 years ago, and he is still DDing it. That being said it’s typical 90s GM build quality. The screws that hold the interior together where literally backing themselves out once it left the factory. It’s always been my dream to make one of these a track car though.

The motor was designed by idiots. The spark plugs/wires ran under the exhaust manifolds, which destroyed the wires. To change all 8 plugs/wires was a 12 hour job for a mechanic. It burned through electrical parts something British. The water pumps were the reason the optisparks went, nothing inherently bad with the distributor except for the position of it and everything relative to it, plus the fact those water pumps started leaking pretty quickly.

Very well at the moment. I installed aftermarket 4300K xenon headlights, yellow fog light bulb, yellow highbeam bulbs, and a cold air intake (dat I6 induction noise). Continental tires are all at about 10/32. Brakes and rotors are good. My wife likes to do carwashes on it

Back then I was into these I found lots of guys that had T56 swaps. Made the car a whole different beast. The after market on the cars was alive and well back then. There is a ton of room under the hood. I could do just about anything u want.
